How has Symplast impacted your ability to provide clinical care?
So Symplast has helped me provide cutting edge clinical care in a couple of ways. The first one that come to mind is actually efficiency. So in my day-to-day flow with the way that I can use the interface on an iPad via the app based system, it makes my day exceedingly efficient. So the other thing that I like is the photo indexing aspect. So what I mean is I’m a patient chart. I can take a photo with my iPad and then I can easily draw all over that photo, which says a couple of things for myself, my patients, the first thing that it does is allow my patients to truly understand the aspects of the procedure that I’m trying to get them to understand because, you know, a picture’s worth a thousand words, so I sit there and draw in the picture. The second thing that it does is it gives me a very accurate record that I can have moving forward. So rather than reading a bunch of words on a page, I just look at the patient photos prior to our procedure, and I can truly understand what we talked about and what the goals are and what I’m doing for my procedure, so those are the first two things that come to mind in terms of how it’s helped me provide cutting edge clinical care.
What is your favorite Symplast feature?
I would say currently it’s the fact that it’s an app that’s works seamlessly with iOS or Android. But I have iOS devices and I love that it’s app based because what that means, friends, what that means is I have this little cool tool right here in my pocket at all times, so if I ever need to reference anything, it’s just like using any other app on your phone. So I can get on here, check in with patients, look at photos if I’m thinking about a case, review documentation. So it’s all at my fingertips via an app. So in terms of an actual feature, though, I love the photo indexing and the ability to take photos, dump them right into my patient’s chart, draw on my photos and edit them for the patients. I also love the ability to communicate in a secure fashion with my patients via the patient app. And so I would say those are probably my top two features that I’m I’m loving right now, in addition to just the app as a whole.
How has Symplast helped elevate your patient experience?
Symplast has help elevate our patient experience in a few ways. I think the first way is the ability to communicate in a secure fashion that has truly elevated the level of care that we can provide.I can’t think of many other physicians or physicians practices where the patients just have 24 hour access directly to their doc like that or a member of this staff like they do via Symplast. So Symplast really helps facilitate that in a secure fashion. The other thing is patients can see all of their photos so they can get access to things that we allow them to have access to. And that is another way that Symplast really elevates the experience for not only the practices but the users as well.
What would you tell other practices thinking about making the change to Symplast?

My patients have access to me through a secure and safe forum on their patient app. The addition of text reminders and scheduling and transactional software makes it an all inclusive suite that is easy to use user friendly, and you’re not going to want to miss out.
