Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Symplast, the No. 1 mobile EHR/practice management system for plastic surgeons that delivers a HIPAA-secure cloud platform to more than 3,500 aesthetic users across the U.S., is pleased to announce and welcome Leo Poynton as the National Sales Manager for Symplast. Poynton will bring his wealth of experience and success to Symplast in order to manage the company’s exponential growth. He will also play a critical role in the aggressive expansion of Symplast into new markets in 2020.
Symplast enjoyed record-setting success throughout the first three calendar quarters of 2019. The software startup, founded in 2013, now boasts 500+ Providers and 3,500+ Clinical Users across the U.S. now using Symplast to optimize their aesthetic practice. Society and industry meetings will play an ever-increasing factor in Symplast’s sales growth for 2020, including sponsorship and exhibiting efforts at national conventions such as AmSpa, ASAPS, ASPS; as well as regional meetings in key growth areas such as New York, California, Texas and Florida. One of Poynton’s first initiatives will be to onboard talented regional directors in the key aesthetic markets across the country, such as California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, New York, Boston and Chicago.
A well-known figure in the Specialty Pharmacy Industry, Poynton has spent the last 16 years developing strong sales forces at major organizations. He has held several senior leadership positions at NuFactor, Diplomat and BioMatrix Specialty pharmacies. Poynton has played an influential role in hiring and managing top talent, identifying strategic markets and sites to develop, and operating with upper management to strategize sales in an ever-changing market.
Poynton explained the reasoning for his decision to lead the Symplast business development efforts: “This is a very exciting time for Symplast, and I am grateful for the opportunity to join this amazing team in expediting the growth and market penetration of such a disruptive, forward-thinking platform. I’ve been fortunate to be involved with a number of great organizations, but there is something very unique and exciting about joining a maturing software startup right as they are on the cusp of snowballing into a market leader; this is something I could not pass up. Heading into 2020, my focus as a leader will be on identifying and implementing the infrastructure necessary to exceed our sales objectives.”
