The Symplast Founder/Chairman will discuss his journey from training to academia to private practice

Symplast Founder/Chairman and double-board certified plastic surgeon Shashi Kusuma, M.D. has been invited as a distinguished alumnus to participate in the Cleveland Clinic Ohio Plastic Surgery Residency and Fellowship Graduation Ceremony the weekend of June 23 and 24.

A Cleveland Clinic alumnus with a unique journey, Dr. Kusuma will discuss his experiences ranging from his training to a career in academia to pursuing his own private practice. Dr. Kusuma completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Institute, Cleveland Clinic Ohio from 2004-2006. He went on to serve as a junior faculty member from 2006-2010, where he was involved in teaching, research and business development. Dr. Kusuma relocated to South Florida in 2010 to establish his own center of excellence Suria Plastic Surgery.

The residents and fellows in attendance will also get a first-hand look at the disruptive power of Symplast, and learn about the inspiration and vision that continues to drive Dr. Kusuma to change the patient-doctor paradigm in aesthetics.
