Is Symplast a cloud software?
Yes. Symplast is a true cloud software. Unlike systems that claim to be cloud but require a VPN or remote login, Symplast delivers the 100 percent cloud experience aesthetic practices have been waiting for.
Can I transfer the data from my current software?
Yes. Symplast has migrated from NexTech, PatientNow, ModMed, Dr. Chrono, Aesthetic Record, and a long list of others. Migration is part of every onboarding.
What items can be migrated?
Appointments, images, documents, patient demographics, EHR notes, contact notes, and a portion of financial items. The Symplast onboarding team will walk through what is in scope for your specific source system.
What file formats are accepted?
SQL database exports, JPG, PNG, PDF, CSV, and Excel. Other file types may need to be converted as part of the migration process.
Is there a fee for data migration?
Yes. Charging for migration is industry standard. The fee is quoted up front, scoped to the volume and source system, and covers the work of mapping the data into Symplast cleanly.
How do I get my data from my current vendor?
You request the export from your current vendor directly. This part of the process can take some time depending on the vendor, so the onboarding team starts it early.
Do you charge for support?
No. Symplast was founded by a plastic surgeon. Support is part of the relationship, not a separate line item.
Is training included?
Yes. Symplast delivers a milestone-based, multi-tier training plan during implementation. Every role in the practice gets the training that fits the way they will use the platform.
How long is the contract?
One year, with monthly payments. A one-time setup fee covers implementation and migration.
Are there hidden data fees?
No. No hidden costs. No nickel and diming. The pricing you see at the start is the pricing you pay.
Do I own my data if I leave Symplast?
Yes. Symplast will never hold your data hostage. It is your data, full stop.
What hardware is required?
None required. Symplast can take a practice live without any new hardware. iPhone, iPad, and standard office computers are all supported out of the box.
What other softwares do you integrate with?
Symplast integrates with a long list of partners across loyalty programs, practice management, patient imaging, marketing, e-prescribing, and claims management. Specific integrations are covered during the demo.
