Can I transfer the data from my current software?
We have experience migrating from a variety of other softwares, including NexTech, PatientNow, ModMed, Dr. Chrono, and Aesthetic Record, just to name a few.
During onboarding, data migration unfolds without the need for closure, allowing your practice to adapt naturally. Our data migration specialists follow strict HIPAA guidelines and security measures to keep your patient’s PHI safe at every step.
What Items can be migrated?
Symplast can migrate appointments, images, documents, patient demographics, EHR notes, contact notes and some financial items.
What file formats are accepted?
SQL Database, .JPG, .PNG, .PDF, .CSV or Excel. Other file types will need to be converted to be imported to your Symplast cloud.
Is there a fee for data migration?
Yes. The process of migrating data is a labor and resource-intensive process that must be handled by highly technical professionals. Because of this, it is an industry-standard to charge for this service. Your sales or success representative can review the fees and options with you.
How do I get my data from my current vendor?
Some basic information, such as patient demographics and appointments may be accessible to you already via reporting. However, for a full database migration, you’ll need to reach out to your current vendor to request your data. We recommend requesting your data as soon as your Symplast implementation begins. Your current vendor will review how they deliver data with you. This process can take some time, so it’s important to start as soon as your implementation begins.
Do you charge for support?
Since we are founded by a plastic surgeon, our business core principles revolve around the mantra of improving the practice-patient dynamic. We do not nickel-and-dime our users for things such as customer support.
We include Customer Support and Customer Success at no additional charge for the lifetime of your Symplast contract. We have a sophisticated Help Center that you can contact 24/7 via email, phone or text.
We are invested in YOUR success with Symplast, because that will make our Symplast movement successful.
Is training included?
Symplast delivers a milestone-based, multi-tier approach to user trainings during the implementation and go-live process.
First, during the initial implementation phase, our team assigns online training videos from our Symplast University learning management system to each user in your practice. These videos are tailored specifically to the workflows and roles of each user. Users must demonstrate proper retention of knowledge before they can move to the next training milestone.
As your implementation moves forward, the next phase of training is the live virtual training sessions with our team. Again, these are broken down into workflow-specific live virtual sessions in order to maximize relevancy and retention.
After your go-live, your entire team has permanent access to all FAQ and training videos we continually add to our online learning management system.
How long is the contract?
As a true ‘software as a service’ (SaaS) platform, Symplast has a 1 year contract with monthly payments. There is also a one-time setup fee. There are no overage charges, additional fees for new features that we release into our cloud during the lifetime of your contract, or support fees.
Are there overage fees?
Symplast is one complete ecosystem that runs your entire practice from anywhere in the world. We do not charge extra for our many value-add features such as email and SMS text automated appointment reminders, digital new patient intake, HIPAA secure texting, etc.
There is no data storage limit on your Symplast cloud. Multimedia is a huge component of our competitive advantage; we want our users maximizing the size of their Symplast cloud data.
No hidden costs. No nickel-and-diming. No games.
Do I own my data if I leave symplast?
Symplast will never hold your data hostage. It’s your data!
If for any reason you decide Symplast is no longer the right fit for you, we deliver your data to you in a readable format so that you can easily transition to your new software.
There is no fee for this.
What hardware is required?
As the only complete platform built from day one for the smartphone and tablet, Symplast offers a practice the option to go live without having to purchase any hardware whatsoever.
Our implementation team will recommend best practices to a practice based on workflows (ex: having an iPad at the Front Desk to compliment the desktop tasks).
It does not matter if you have a windows or mac computer/laptop; all you need is a computer with the Google Chrome web browser.
We also offer an iOS and an Android practice app that you can download onto your mobile devices.
Best of all, you don’t need a third-party IT company to manage our software’s needs.
