Is Symplast a cloud-based software?
Yes. Symplast is a fully cloud-based
platform. Unlike systems that claim to be cloud but require a VPN or remote login, Symplast gives aesthetic practices a true cloud experience with secure access from supported devices, wherever the work happens.
Can I transfer the data from my current software?
Yes. Symplast has experience migrating data from NexTech, PatientNow, ModMed, DrChrono, Aesthetic Record, 4D and many other systems. Data migration is part of every implementation.
What items can be migrated?
Appointments,
images, documents, patient demographics,
EHR notes, contact notes, and certain financial data may be migrated. The Symplast onboarding team will define what is in scope for your specific source system.
What file formats are accepted?
SQL database exports, JPG, PNG, PDF, CSV, and Excel files are accepted. Other file types may need to be converted during the migration process.
Is there a fee for data migration?
Yes. A flat migration fee will be quoted up front; the fee covers the work of mapping and importing your data into Symplast cleanly.
How do I get my data from my current vendor?
You request the export directly from your current vendor, and we support you through it. Timing varies by vendor, so the Symplast onboarding team starts this step early and guides you every step of the way.
Do you charge for support?
No. Ongoing support is part of the Symplast relationship, not a separate add-on.
Is training included?
Yes. Symplast provides a milestone-based, multi-tier training plan during implementation. Each role receives training aligned to how they will use the platform, and ongoing training is included.
How long is the contract?
The standard agreement is one year with monthly payments. A one-time setup fee covers implementation and migration.
Are there hidden data fees?
No. Pricing, implementation, and migration costs are outlined upfront, with no surprise data-access fees.
Do I own my data if I leave Symplast?
Yes. Your data remains yours. Symplast will support the agreed export process if you choose to leave.
What hardware is required?
Most often, no new hardware is required. Symplast is mobile-based and supports iPhone, iPad, and standard Apple computers, as well as a hybrid of iPads and Windows PCs, allowing many practices to go live with the devices they already use.
What other software does Symplast integrate with?
Symplast integrates with partners across loyalty programs, patient imaging, marketing, e-prescribing, claims management, labs, financing and other practice workflows. Specific integrations are reviewed during the demo.
