Smart technology driven by doctors, not programmers
Dr. Shashi Kusuma, a double-board certified plastic surgeon, had a problem.
After leaving his position at the Cleveland Clinic to start a private practice in South Florida, Dr. Kusuma was quickly having buyer’s remorse with his new server software. Rather than making him more efficient and productive, the software was adding unnecessary tasks to his daily workflow. His patients were demanding more engagement with Dr. Kusuma and his staff.
With the evolution of the smartphone’s screen size, camera quality, and internet bandwidth, the ‘selfie age’ was born. There was only one problem: Healthcare IT was woefully behind the rising smartphone trend.
It was this demand by his patients that inspired Dr. Kusuma to pursue his vision of a simple, intuitive software made for the aesthetic industry that was built around the patient.
