How has Symplast helped with your day-to-day workflows?
Symplast has this feature of where appointments they send text reminders that have tremendously impacted our office by minimizing the no-show rate to a minimum and helping the practice have a more efficient day-to-day workflow.
What would you tell other practices thinking about making the change to Symplast?
Changes are always scary at first, as you will need to adapt to find these changes useful. Symplast will make your work life easier and you will be able to achieve a higher productivity since the program is really user friendly and is not time consuming.
What was the deciding factor for why you chose Symplast?
We wouldn’t know exactly what was the factor, but we do know that he (Dr. Shienbaum) likes that it’s user friendly. We are not in EMR, we’re still on charts, so I think that the color coding, that it’s simple to make appointments and search patients, maybe that’s the reason why he actually picked the system.
Before Symplast, what system were you using to chart and run your practice?
We were using NetConnect. Symplast had more features than NetConnect I believe.
How has Symplast impacted your ability to provide clinical care?
It offers tools that make everyday scheduling easy. Adding a patient for us for a consult only involves a few steps, and color coding makes it even more friendly when adding appointments in the calendar.
Is Symplast a true mobile platform?
We do use iPads and use our phones as well. It is efficient since we can pull it up on any device, desktops, cell phone, iPads and it’s convenient access. It is easy to use.
