How has Symplast impacted your ability to provide clinical care?
Ever since we got Symplast we’ve been able to be more on-the-go in this fast-paced environment and after the pandemic hit, we needed desperately for our providers to be able to look at their schedules from home, on-the-go, be able to do video calls with our patients, to do follow-up calls and even consultations. So Symplast has helped us immensely to just change the course of the way that we take care of our patients, and we’re very thankful for that.
How has Symplast helped with your day-to-day workflows?
So it completely shifted our day-to-day. We are able to just get up in the morning, look at what time is our first patient, make sure that they have filled out their intake forms online and that everything is set up for their video calls, if we have a video call, or right before they go into the office. We get them in, we sign them in through Symplast so we know exactly in which room they’re at all times, with with which provider they are being taken care of, and then we are able to do the checkout, do their estimate and do the payment and everything under one platform, which has been great.
What would you tell other practices thinking about making the change to Symplast?
Do not hesitate at all. I thought that it was too good to be true and like the many things that we were able to do with Symplast. It is true we are able to do all of those things and more so it is definitely worth it and makes it very easy for the practice to handle, so it’s really nice.
Before Symplast, what system were you using to chart and run your practice?
So before Symplast we used Nextech, which we weren’t able to look over from our homes and it wasn’t so user friendly for our practice and it wasn’t as on-the-go as what we need right now.
What is your favorite Symplast tool?
So one of my favorite ones I think would be the appointment requests. We actually have the link in our social media bio and we get appointments even during the weekends logged in, even while we’re closed, we still have patients requesting appointments and getting our schedule booked.
What have your patients said about the Symplast patient app?
They like it. We are able to communicate back and forth. They’re able to see their estimates, their payments. They’re able to see even their before and after pictures when we share them for them. So they really like it.
How has Symplast impacted your work-life balance?
Actually, a lot, I’m a new mom and I’ve been able to keep up with work even from home and being able to just look at what’s happening live in the office, even from the comfort of my own house, so that’s amazing.
What was the deciding factor for why you chose Symplast?
Deciding factor to be honest, was the fact that we could do the video calls with our patients because we changed right while we were in the pandemic, and it was such an important thing for us to be able to see the patients in the video calls and keep our waiting rooms empty in in the actual office, so it helped out a lot on that.
What is one way you utilize the Symplast Patient App as the Marketing Director?
We do. I’m actually the marketing director for the practice and I use the app for sending the specials to all the patients that have downloaded the app and they get that notification right on their phone and get our specials. So I do use it.
